Peer de Wit is a Dutch linographer and woodcut artist. He was born in 1946. He studied at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. In his work he is mainly concerned to the application of varied color combinations, often within landscape-themed themes. His lino and woodcuts are usually made up of five or six colorways. By constantly printing the same landscape in different color combinations, highly diverse atmospheres are created.
