From the press: 'Through his often poignant images, P.G. to convey a personal insight into the transience of cultures and cultural products. His sculptures in plaster, bronze and terracotta continue to appeal and arouse amazement. They penetrate deeply into man's insecurity," and "His images are rocks that have been formed by metamorphosis from other rocks. In Goris the metamorphosis is much more fundamental than in the geological process. It has grown organically in the bloodstream itself.” (C. Heyman). About his drawings: 'Just as the images of Goris are not only the representation of a figure, the realism of the drawings also shows us much more than a mere fixed reality. The abstract play of the shadows contrasts sharply with the reality of the body.' (N. Onzia, 1984). Became a teacher at the Academy in Hoboken and from 1976 at the Academy in Antwerp. Mentioned in BAS II and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (piron)
