Dit is een neoclassicistische fauteuil in Louis XVI-/Directoire-stijl. Kenmerkend zijn het strakke, rechthoekige rugpaneel, de slanke, licht gebogen poten, het roodbruine houten frame en de verfijnde, vergulde bies langs de bekleding. De vormtaal is ingetogener en rechter dan de uitbundige rococo van Louis XV.
