Atassi Yakzan

Yakzan Atasi is a Syrian artist born in 1950. After a childhood full of Oriental plastic culture (calligraphy, carpets, architecture ...), having been a decorator for television and an assistant to the Fine Arts of Damascus, he arrived in Paris in 1981. The clash of cultures will remain determinant in his artistic career. In Paris, he made his first solo exhibitions (as part of MAC 2000 at the Grand Palais) and began a prolific career. His work is still found in private collections and is exhibited in France and abroad.
