Wuytack Robert
Robert Wuytack was a Belgian artist, born in Sint-Pauwels in 1934 and died in Deurne in 2023. He was a draftsman and graphic artist. He received his education at the Academy in Sint-Niklaas, under the supervision of G. Fonteyn, P. Ausloos and R. Malfliet. During his military service he took lessons at the Academy in Liège, before continuing his education at the Academy in Antwerp, under the supervision of R. De Coninck and at the Higher Institute in Antwerp, under the supervision of J. Hendrickx. In 1958, Robert Wuytack, together with Walter De Bock, Staf De Smedt and Frans De Vogel, co-founded the puppet theater 'Oekedoeleken'. As an artist he found his inspiration in vegetable motifs, flowers, shrubs and trees. His art is a still art, art of contemplation and contemplation. He often worked in series, series with the same theme. In Antwerp he was involved in the art circle 't Getij. He made an important contribution to the operation of the Kunstkring Jacques Gorus vzw in the Venusstraat in Antwerp. Robert Wuytack regularly collaborated with poetic literature practitioners, such as Kris Geerts and Anton van Wilderode. Works by Wuytack can be found in the Albert I Royal Library, the Culture Council for the Dutch Cultural Community, the Print Room of Antwerp, Brussels and Coburg (DL), the Museums in the cities of Antwerp and Sint-Niklaas.
