van Dort Willem Sr.

Willem van Dort, usually signed with "W. van Dort sr.", was a Dutch artist born in 1875 and died in 1949. He was a painter who often painted impressionistic. He was also a draftsman and teacher at the academy. He mainly painted genre, landscapes (as a genre), river landscapes, marines (as genre), cityscapes, portraits and Christian religious scenes. (RKD)
