19de eeuwse schilderijen kopen van de Belgische schilder Vincent De Vos

De Vos Vincent

Vincent De Vos was a Belgian artist who was born in Kortrijk in 1829 and who died there in 1875. He was a painter. Education at the Academy in Kortrijk and student of Ed. Woutermaertens (1848-1852). Realized images of animals, with a pronounced fondness for monkeys and dogs. Lived and worked in Italy in 1870, bringing back landscapes from it. In his studio he dared to house monkeys, wolves, foxes, even a camel. Have hunting dogs hunt for ever, foxes and rabbits in his works, or depict his dogs in lavish salons and stately interiors. Yet he is at his best in the depiction of street-roaming, proletarian dogs. Work in the Museums in Bruges and Kortrijk, among others. Mentioned in the Lexicon of West Flemish visual artists II and VI, BAS I and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (piron)
