Quiénen Vic(tor)

Vic(tor) Quiénen was a Belgian artist who was born in 1918 in Herentals and who died in 1983 in Jette. He was a painter, draftsman, illustrator and poster designer. Training at Sint-Lucas and the Academy in Ghent. Established himself as an independent portraitist. Also painted and drew children, girl figures, rural scenes. After the Second World War he stayed in Monaco (1950-1958), where he excelled in portraying celebrities and celebrities. Also covered religious themes.
