Vercruyssen Emeri

Emeri Vercruyssen was a Belgian artist born in 1906 in Kieldrecht and who died in 1985 in Antwerp. He was a painter. Educated at the Academy and the Higher Institute in Antwerp. Worked in the studio of Walter Vaes. Realized landscapes, scenes with characters, nudes, village and cityscapes, still lifes, portraits and harbor and river views. He especially liked still lifes and the admiration he had for his teacher Walter Vaes is striking. The contents of his studio were auctioned in March 1991 by the Campo gallery in Antwerp.
