Verbrugge Herman

Herman Verbrugge was a Belgian artist, born in Roeselare in 1879 and died in Beveren-Waas in 1947. He was a painter, draftsman, graphic artist and enameller. He was educated at the Academies in Antwerp and Brussels. He realized portraits, interiors and genre scenes. He exhibited at, among others: the Triennial Salons in Antwerp between 1901 and 1923, in 1922 in Ghent and in 1907 and 1914 in Brussels. He exhibited at the 'Exposition universal et internationale de Bruxelles' in 1910 with the work 'Interieur de la Maison Hydraulique' and exhibited decorated enamel plates in Ghent in 1922. Herman Verbrugge was an art teacher at the Academy in Ghent. We can find his work in the Museum in Antwerp, among other places.
