Van Vosselen Omer

Omer Van Vosselen was a Belgian artist born in 1934 in Beveren Waas and who died in 1993 in Edegem. He was a painter and draftsman. Education at the Academy in Sint Niklaas under the direction of G. Fonteyn (1950 - 1953), at the Academy of Liège under the direction of F. Houben, private lessons under the direction of J. Van Puyenbroeck in Antwerp. Painted mainly refined, realistic, intimate or poetic portraits, characteristic heads, but also still lifes and flower compositions, sporadically also landscapes. Exhibited in the Museum of Sint Niklaas in 1952, in the Galerie Prado in Mechelen in 1954, in the Galerie Breckpot in Antwerp in 1959, in La Petite Galerie in Brussels in 1960, in the Town Hall of Wetteren in 1966, in the Town Hall of Sluis (Netherlands) in 1978.
