Van Hoorde Louis

Louis Van Hoorde was a Belgian painter, born in 1886 and deceased in 1935. He worked in Antwerp and created landscapes, rural scenes, and genre paintings set in interiors with figures and cardinals. During the First World War he stayed with his sister in Vlijmen, the Netherlands. His work Cardinals with chalices in an interior was auctioned by Zaal Amberes in Antwerp in 2007, Still life with white roses by Zaal Freeman in London in 2008, The Letter (figures in an old interior) by Zaal Horta in Brussels in 2012, and The Art-loving Cardinal by Zaal Bernaerts in Antwerp in 2013.
