Van Droogenbroek Clément

He was a student of A. Bastien and was influenced by the School of Auderghem. He painted landscapes, harbor and river views, still lifes, flowers, and compositions with figures. He also found inspiration in Great Britain and France. He adopted an impressionistic style and leaned towards pointillism in some of his works. He settled in Crupet. He exhibited at the La Meuse Gallery in Namur in 1955, 1956, 1957, and 1958; at the Quinzaine des Artistes Namurois in Namur in 1959; at the Maison d'Art in Charleroi in 1959, and again at the La Meuse Gallery in Namur in 1960 and 1963. He was the laureate of the Grand Prize for Painting of the city of Brussels in 1962. He is listed in "Two Centuries of Signatures of Belgian Artists" (Piron, BT).
