
Wernaers Urbain
Urbain Wernaers was a Belgian artist who was born in Brussels in 1888 and who died there in 1981. He was a painter, draftsman, lithographer and pastelist. Brother of Adrien Wernaers. Realized, among other things, picturesque cityscapes, landscapes, forest views. Was attached to the Studio of the daily newspaper Le Soir. Participated in the 'Exposition de la lithographie Belge contemporaine' in the Royal Library in Brussels in 1931. Work published in the folders of Le Musée du Livre (1928-1929). Mentioned in BAS I and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (piron)
