Franse kunstenaar Ted Benoit

Benoit Ted

Thierry Benoit, known as Ted Benoit, is a French cartoonist and prominent representative of the Franco-Belgian ligne claire comic world in the 1980s. He was born in 1947. The "clear line" style is best known for artists such as Hergé (Tintin) and Joost Swarte. Some of his works are Bingo Bongo et son Combo Congolais, a series about aspiring writer Bingo B. Bongo and his trials, and Ray Banana, a film noir pastiche. Ted Benoît was one of the cartoonists who in 1993 gave a new sequel to the comic book series "Blake and Mortimer" after the death of Edgar P. Jacobs (1987). (Kunstveiling.nl)
