Sys Walter

Walter Sys is a Belgian artist born in 1942 in Temse. He is a painter, draftsman and graphic artist. Education at the Academies in Temse, Berchem and Antwerp. Created, among other things, symbolist compositions with figures, often on geometrically abstract backgrounds. From the press: 'Reality and dream are 2 poles that W.S. blends into a characteristic expression,' and 'There is the almost hypnotic presence of hieratic yet graceful young ladies and slender youths.' Mentioned in BAS I, II and two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (Piron)
