Schilderijen Jin Stragier, Belgische kunstenares

Stragier Jin

Jin Stragier (Adriana Paula Stragier) was a Belgian painter, born in Uitkerke in 1924 and passed away in Blankenberge in 2020. She studied at the Academy in Bruges and placed the human figure at the center of her work. She drew inspiration from the world of fairy tales and dreams, often combining poetic (female) figures with flowers. Her paintings breathe an atmosphere of dream, poetry, and symbolism. In her early period, she painted children with a palette knife and bright colors, later evolving toward a style that combined symbolism with surrealism. Her work was collected and sold across Europe and the United States. She is mentioned in the Lexicon of West Flemish visual artists II and in Two Centuries of Signatures of Belgian Artists.
