Belgisch Poolse schilder Stany Holda

Holda Stany

Stany Holda, born Nyniov-Wicktorowka/Poland in 1919, was a Belgian artist who died in 1981. He was a painter, draftsman and watercolorist. He studied at the Academy in Charleroi under the supervision of M. Delmotte. He debuted with landscapes, portraits and compositions with figures in generous paint paste. Discovered in 1956 the fantastic, the dream, the symbolism. The design became more synthesized, the palette rich in contrast. The (industrial) landscapes, the village scenes were built almost geometrically and increasingly began to translate the inner state of mind of the artist. (PIRON)
