Culligan Robert Edwin
Robert (Bob) Edwin Culligan was an American artist who was born in 1928 and died in 2012. An alumnus of St. Thomas Academy, the University of Notre Dame, and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Bob served in the United States Army's 10th Mountain Division before marrying Nancy in 1955. In 1956, he began a 33-year career with 3M. , his family moved to Italy in 1969 and Belgium in 1973, before returning to St. Paul in 1978 as 3M Manager of World Packaging and Corporate Identification. In 1988 Bob took early retirement to continue his hobby as a watercolorist. He was a longtime member of the Old Town Artists cooperative in St. Paul's Lowertown and won the First Honors at the Minnesota State Fair in 1995.
