Robert De Spieghelaere was a Belgian artist who was born in 1906 in Heist and who died in 1991 in Ghent. He was a painter, watercolorist and etcher. Training in engraving and modeling techniques at the Academy in Ghent. Realized landscapes and cityscapes. Held numerous positions in various Ghent art associations. Mentioned in the Lexicon of West Flemish Visual Artists VI and in the Lexicon of East Flemish Painters and Sculptors. (piron)
