
Rinskopf André
André Rinskopf was a Belgian artist, born in Gentbrugge in 1914 and died in Gentbrugge in 1970. He was a painter, draftsman, watercolorist, etcher, and engraver. He received his training at the Academy in Ghent, where he was awarded the Royal Medal in the painting class from the live model. Rinskopf painted landscapes, cityscapes, figures, nudes, portraits, and still lifes. He was a member of the circle Kunst en Kennis in Ghent. He is mentioned in the Lexicon van Oost-Vlaamse schilders en beeldhouwers 1700-1940 (Daniël Van Ryssel, 2008). (Piron)
