
Vleeshouwers Rik
Rik (Hendrik Jan) Vleeshouwers was a Belgian artist who lived from 1894 to 1959. He was a painter and draftsman. He was father-in-law of Antoon Luyckx. From the press: "R.V. was especially attracted by the play of light and his paintings bear a neo-impressionist touch.' (R.D.C., 1977). He worked in Deurne. Retrospective was held in 1977 in the gallery De Standaard in Antwerp. His work was auctioned by the Zaal Campo in Antwerp (Composition) and by the Zaal Bernaerts in Antwerp in 2001 (Park view, drawing). (piron)
