Van Latem Pieter
Pieter Van Latem (Pseudonym of Marcel Pieters) or Bertonini was a Belgian artist who was born in 1920 in the Pinte and who died in 2002 in Ghent. He was a painter and collector of Latem masters. As a painter, he initially limited himself to flower arrangements and landscapes in the (pointillist) style of his friend Leon De Smet. Afterwards, under the name Pieter Van Latem, a few naive landscapes in miniature were created before evolving into landscape painting in the style van Saverys, Claeys and Dooms Participated several times in group exhibitions under the name Bertonini from 1981.
