Van Gysegem Paul

Paul Van Gysegem is a Belgian artist who was born in 1935 in Berlare. He is a painter, sculptor and printmaker. The human figure is key in his work. In addition to being a sculptor, painter and graphic artist, Paul Van Gysegem is also a gifted free-jazz musician. This versatility is not without significance for each of the art forms he practices. Indeed, there is an interaction whereby one medium inspires another, while nevertheless respecting the specific qualities of each of them.
