Mundeleer Léon

Léon Mundeleer was a Belgian artist who was born in Brussels in 1851 and died in 1933. He was a painter, draftsman and watercolourist. He created genre scenes and interiors. He participated in the Salon in Ghent in 1883 (The Reader and Vegetable Cleaner, two watercolours) and in the 'Exposition Internationale' in Brussels in 1897 (Interior; hall, Interior; studio and two watercolours: The trinket and Roses). He worked in the Museum in Elsene (Interior, Girl at the Piano). He was director of the Ecole des Arts industriels er décoratifs in Elsene. (Piron)
