
Bruggeman Martine
Martine Bruggeman is a Belgian artist born in Bruges in 1953. She is a painter and designer of creations with paper and watercolor. She followed her education in pedagogical higher education in plastic arts in Bruges, graphics at the Academy in Bruges. She followed internships in paper creation with Don Cortese and L. Verbeelden in Antwerp. She creates figures, portraits and scenes between dream and reality, in which she can express her feelings. She is also an expert in lace. In this context, she was involved in, among other things, the reorganization of the Lace Museum in Bruges. She became an artistic training teacher at the Academy in Bruges and at the Sint-Andreaslyceum in Sint-Kruis and is an art and lace history teacher at the Lace Center in Bruges. In 1997 she was awarded Culture Woman of the Year in Bruges. She is listed in the Lexicon of West Flemish visual artists vi. (piron)
