Weemaes Margot

Margot Weemaes was a Belgian artist who was born in Leuven in 1909 and who died in Brussels in 1993. She was a draftsman, illustrator, graphic artist and designer of stained glass windows. Training at La Cambre in Brussels, also worked at the Academia Belgica in Rome. Realized landscapes, figures. Reduces the design to the essentials in accurate, accurate and clean lines. From the press: 'The delicate etchings and drawings of M.W. breathe, in all their grand simplicity, the wide melancholy of a gentle soul, dwelling in the delicate lines of body and landscape, shivering in the frail movement of twigs and blades, blown away in the thin flight of birds and clouds.” (A.
