
Mangin Charles
Charles Mangin was a Belgian painter, born in Antwerp in 1892 and died in Antwerp in 1977. He studied at the Academy in Antwerp under the guidance of P. Van Der Ouderaa. Mangin primarily painted still lifes and floral pieces, but also landscapes, portraits, and figures. His works are characterized by a truthful representation, balanced composition, and a warm and exuberant color palette, achieving successful color harmonies. Mangin exhibited, among other places, at the Zaal Wynen in Antwerp in 1936.(Piron)
