Bral Luk
Luk Bral was a Belgian artist who was born in Drongen in 1949 and who died in 2020 in Sint-Amandsberg. He was a painter, designer of objects, initially also a singer and cabaret artist. Visual arts training at Sint-Lucas in Ghent (1969-1971), further training at the Herman Teirlinck cabaret academy in Antwerp (1971-1974). Debuted as a singer, but then profiled himself as a visual artist. Evolved from figuration (portraits) to pure abstraction to finally practice a combination of both tendencies. His art objects are built up on the basis of recuperated materials. Settled in Stambruges and led a retired life as a painter. (Pyron).
