Kunstwerken kopen van de Gentse kunstenaar Luc Drappier

Drappier Luc

Luc Drappier is a Belgian artist who was born in Ghent in 1943. He is a watercolorist, painter, printmaker, assembly artist and poet. Graphic arts training at the Municipal Technical School and drawing, painting and decorative art at the Academy in Ghent. Greatly admired Herman Verbaere's work. Mainly realized landscapes. His works reflect color and poetry. From the press: “His work is characterized by silence and solitude, without being sad. On the contrary, he knows how to bring these two elements to a poetic, almost frivolous beauty through a flawless technique” and “In the South of France he discovers himself and the watercolors that he finds extremely suitable for fully converting his emotion into a whirling play of colors.” Also assembles abstract images in steel. Professionally managed a printing company for 25 years. Was one of the driving forces behind the Latems Aterlier in Sint-Martens-Latem for 15 years and organized internships in his studio in Oosterzele. Since 2005 he has devoted himself entirely to his fictional project Luxity. He creates his own city on the water, which is infinitely reflected and thus casts a mysterious atmosphere of light and shadow on the architecture. These skylines seem to be an endless source of inspiration. Exhibited at the gallery Beeldenstorm in Roosendaal in 2006, took part in the Holland Art Fair in The Hague in 2006, exhibited at the Kunstforum in Schelderode in 2006, in the Kasteel Blauwendael in Waasmunster in 2008. Mentioned in Artists and galleries 1997, BAS II and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. Source: Piron
