Roessingh Louis Albert

Louis Albert Roessingh was an artist born in Assen/Netherlands in 1873 and died in Antwerp in 1951. He was a painter, draftsman, watercolorist and poet. He came to Antwerp at the age of 17. He was educated at the Higher Institute in Antwerp. He had his first studio in 1897. He realized landscapes, portraits and genre scenes, among other things. He opted for his own sensitive design without worrying about any innovation in art. He exhibited, among other things, at the Salon Triennal des Beaux-Arts in Brussels in 1903, at the 'Exhibition of Watercolors, Pastels and Etchings' in Antwerp in 1906, at the 'Exposition Générale des Beaux-Arts' in Brussels in 1907 and at the 'Exposition universelle et Internationale de Bruxelles' in 1910.
