Perrin Léon

Léon Perrin was a Swiss artist, born in Versoix/Switzerland in 1880. He was a wood engraver, etcher, illustrator. He was educated at the Ecole des Arts et Métiers in Geneva and settled in Brussels after his studies. He has provided illustration work for various Sander Pierron publications, including for 'Le Coq de laiton' and 'L'Enseigne repliée'. He found the inspiration for his autonomous records mainly in the landscape and in this way realized Swiss mountain landscapes and Brabant views such as 'Veilles femmes', 'La mare', 'Coucher de soleil orageux'. He worked in Jette/Brussels. Léon Perrin was a member of La Gravure originale Belge in the 1930s.
