Henderyckx Leopold

Léopold Henderyckx was a Belgian artist born in Sint-Joost-ten-Node in 1888 and died there in 1960. He was a painter, watercolorist, etcher, lithographer and mural painter. Training at the Academy in Brussels under the direction of J. Delville, C. Montald and E. Fabry (1905-1911). Realized landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes (Mechelen, Bruges, Brussels), portraits. Designed a series of plates after Tijl Uilenspiegel. Associated with the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences for ten years and made more than five hundred watercolors for the Mammal Department. Designed decorative panels for the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1935. Work to be carried out in the Print Room in Brussels.
