Schilderijen van de Belgische kunstenaar, schilder Leo Jordaens kopen.

Jordaens Leo

Leo Jordaens is a Belgian artist who was born in 1944 in Merksem and who died in 2000 in Antwerp. He was a painter. Son and student of Leon Jordaens; then developed self-taught. Painted landscapes, beach scenes with sloops, marines, still lifes with flowers. His works are characterized by expressive cloud masses and a striking play of light and colour. From the press: "L.J. is a born colorist. He likes cadmiums, but only works in three tones – for example red, yellow and blue – that completely build up the painting (…) Nature, the open space, is alive in his work. He eliminated people from it. You will see crops, trees (especially pollard willows), haylofts, mirroring hooves, ships, a river bend, the skyline of the city, the roadstead, the activity in the harbor, the industry and the winter atmosphere. (1978) Signed L. Jordaens. Worked in Deurne. Mentioned in Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (Piron)
