Kunstwerken van de Gentse kunstenaar Knut Kersse kopen

Kersse Knut

Knut Kersse is a Belgian artist who was born in 1957 in Ghent. He is a painter and draftsman. Plastic arts training at Sint-Lucas in Ghent. Ceramics led by Marnix Hoys. Often works in mixed media on paper. His compositions come across as obsessing images that can be borrowed from both the dream and the nightmare and in which the human figure emerges from the almost gestural lines of force or color smears. In other works, men and women are captured in nervous but firm lines in Indian ink or pencil. "His drawing and painting circles around the human figure, especially the couple. With sharp, black strokes that sometimes end in colorful smudges of paint, he expressively evokes an aggressive, tragic world, sometimes reminiscent of Egon Schiele, Otto Dix, George Groz." Working in Veurne. Mentioned in the Lexicon of West Flemish visual artists vi. Source: Piron
