Crevecoeur Kikie

Kikie Crevecoeur is a Belgian artist who was born in 1960 in Brussels. She's a graphic artist. training at the Academy in Brussels under the direction of G. Meurant, R. Dewint and I. Swingedau. Designs prints on the basis of "engraved" erasers, which are printed in repetitive structures. Works both figuratively and abstractly in fact: up close, every print is a miniature; the whole, seen from a distance, gives an abstract impression. Often adds a humorous note to her works. Subsequently also started making linocuts in a rather gestural design that sometimes come across as spontaneous, rhythmic and dynamic compositions, at other times as sensitive poetic abstractions. Working in the Razkas studio in Brussels. Exhibited a.o. at the Maison de la Culture in Namur in 2004 (Engine Libre), in the gallery La Muse Hardie in Villers-Deux-Eglises in 2008.
