de Posson Karel

Karel or Charles de Posson was a Belgian painter born in Antwerp in 1889 and died there in 1960. He was a student of Mortelmans and Rosier. He had a preference for landscapes, cityscapes, still lifes and portraits. He loved dramatic cloudy skies, so he sifted the powerful sunlight. He synthesized the subjects, which often also reflect a certain romance and melancholy.
