Joz. Beeck, or Jozef Philips Beeck in full, is a Belgian artist who was born in 1912 in Mechelen and who died in 1986, also in Mechelen. He was a painter and glazier. Education at the Higher Institute for Plastic Arts in Berlin and the Academy in Munich. Cherished admiration for P. De Troyer. As a painter he realized, among other things, figures, portraits, still lifes, religious subjects and fairground scenes in an expressionist-animist design.
