Jean Rocour is a Belgian artist who was born in Herstal in 1939 and who passed away in 2005. He was a painter, draftsman, watercolorist, sculptural ceramicist and also a poet. Sculpture training at Sint-Lucas in Liège, led by Albin Courtois. His drawings come across as whimsical compositions with distorted objects, animals, human figures and breathe fantastic, surrealism, humor. Published L'appétit part en mangeant. Ceramic work purchased by the French Community (1979-1991). Was a teacher of plastic research at Sint-Lucas in Liège. Work in the Museums in Liège and Brussels, among others.
