Légaré Jean-Paul
Jean-Paul Légaré was a Canadian artist and journalist born in Rimouski/Canada in 1923 and died in Québec/Canada in 2009. He worked with oil paint, watercolor and gouache. He is a descendant of the painter Joseph Légaré, landscape painter in Canada. He became a journalist at the Echo du Bas-Saint-Laurent and then at the Radio. Around 1940 he learned to paint. In 1946 he founded the Compagnons de l'art Rimouski. In 1963 he moved to Quebec/Canada. (BT)
