Mulders Jean
Jean Mulders was a Belgian artist who was born in Averbode in 1913. He was a painter and crayon painter. He was inspired by the landscapes and the inhabitants of his own country, Spain, Morocco, but especially Zaire and Black Africa. Appeared at the Petite Galerie in Brussels in 1961, at the Lucidel gallery in Mons in 1962, at the Galerie La Meuse in Namur in 1963, with Les Arts en Europe in Brussels in 1972 and 1973. Work for the Museum in Mons (La belle sorcière, pastel on unalit, acquired at the Galerie Lucidel in Mons in 1962). His work "Fishermen on the Congo River" was auctioned by Vanderkindere Room in Brussels in 2012. Mentioned in BAS I and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (PIRON)
