Belgische kunstschilder Jean Dufour

Dufour Jean

Jean Dufour was a Belgian painter born in 1903 and Ixelles and died in 1985 in Bosvoorde. He was the father of Jean-Pierre Dufour (Lipit). He followed his training at the Academy in Brussels under C. Montald. He had a preference for genre scenes, still lifes, navies and especially (winter) landscapes. He found his inspiration among others in the Kempen and in Flanders, but also with regard to traveling abroad. Over the years, its lines became softer and the color palette muted. (PIRON)
