Colin Jean

Jean Colin was a Belgian artist born in Brussels in 1881 and died in 1961, also in Brussels. He was a painter. Education at the Academy in Brussels, conducted by Is. Verheyden. Price of Rome in 1910. He preferred figures, children, interiors, landscapes and flowers. His realistic design was influenced by impressionism, which is evident, for example, from the use of wide color keys. Found the inspiration for his landscapes and characters also in Algeria and Brittany. Work among others in the Museums in Liège, Charleroi, Tournai, Brussels.
