Jacques Chaidron is a Belgian artist who was born in Mouzaive-sur-Semois in 1938. He is a painter. Training in the plastic arts regency at Sint-Lukas in Brussels, evening courses at the Academy in Brussels led by L. Devos. Debuted with portraits, then found inspiration in faces from the Semois region, in which a predilection for the trees emerged and which he transformed into hallucinatory compositions. Quickly evolved into fantastic abstraction and inner landscapes. Afterwards, his world became more structured and geometric shapes, including the sphere, made their appearance in his oeuvre. From the press: "J.C. is literally and figuratively a cosmic painter in the sense that he not only gives shape to the elusive, but is also driven by a philosophy that gives his canvases an additional charm and magic. He designs shapes and lets them float, lets them meet, makes them collide, gives them an immeasurable space that is greater than the narrowness of the canvas ". (1977) Individual exhibitions in the Alain Beciani gallery in Charleroi 2002, in the Clos du Bailly of the Castle in Spontin in 2003, but also in Namur, Brussels, Liège, Ostend, Spa, Knokke and Antwerp.
