Perdriat Hélène

Hélène Marie Marguerite Perdriat was a French artist born in La Rochelle, France in 1889 and died in 1969. She was a figurative painter and engraver. Between the two World Wars, her fame grew along with the rise of Art Déco. She painted in a style closely related to that of the French School. In other words, she invited the viewer into her dream images of women. In 1937 her second husband, Henri Falk, died, after which she went to her castle in Saint-Jean-d'Angély. She died, surrounded by her eighty cats, in oblivion and poverty. Source: Wikepedia.fr
