Stevens Hilde

Hilde Stevens is a Belgian artist born in Hasselt in 1965. She is a graphic artist, draftsman and designer of ex-libris. H.S. about her works in pencil: “With this almost banal medium, beautiful nuances can be achieved. Its directness contrasts with my graphic work, which is often created more rationally and indirectly. A preference for a strongly geometric (often symmetrical) surface division also emerges here. The pencil technique is tight, and subdivisions are colored in almost emotionless. Deviations in the form of color accents, clippings, collage fragments are therefore even more noticeable.' (Piron)
