Koetser Henri

Henri Koetser was a Dutch artist who was born in 1878 in Maastricht and who died in 1952 in Laarne. He was a graphic artist, painter, art dealer and etcher. He lived and worked in Maastricht and Amsterdam until 1900, Emmen, London, Blaricum, Laren, Barneveld and Hilversum. He was a pupil of the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam under August Alleb_ and C.L.Dake. By profession he was an art dealer and also a painter of interiors, with figures and landscapes. He is known for his etchings after paintings by, among others, Jacob Maris. (RKD)
