Schilderijen kopen van de Waalse kunstenaar Henri Deglume

Deglume Henri

Henri Deglume was a Belgian painter, born in 1865 in Gerpinnes, in the province of Hainaut, and died there in 1940. He received a short training at the Academy in Namur under the direction of Th. Baron and worked circa 1894 under the direction of A.J. Heymans, who influenced his design. He came into contact with the Le Sillon Group in Brussels, and then retired to his native village. He mainly painted Ardennes landscapes. His Impressionist design was initially influenced by Seurat's pointillism, but would then come to practice Impressionism in a looser and more synthesizing invoice. His color palette is fresh and optimistic. His works radiate poetry and joie de vivre. He was a teacher of, among others, P. Paulus. He is mentioned in BAS II and Two Centuries of Signatures of Belgian Artists. (piron)
