Kunstwerken van de Pools-Australische kunstenaar Artur Halpern

Halpern Artur (Artek)

Artur "Artek" Halpern (often cited as 1908–1976 or 1914–1976) was an influential Australian ceramicist, sculptor, and graphic artist of Polish descent. Together with his family, he played a pivotal role in the development of post-war modernist Australian pottery. He migrated to Australia after World War II, where he worked in ceramics, sculpture, and graphic arts—including etching, lithography, and screen printing. His ceramic work is often characterized by expressive glazes, sgraffito techniques, and abstract or figurative motifs.
