Ibanez Guy

Guy Ibanez is a French artist born in 1951. He is a painter and writer. He studied architecture at the Marseille Luminy art academy and studied art at the same school with Claude Viallat and with his teachers Tony Grant and Christian Jacquard. He started painting in 1979. In 1980, he founded the "Lorette workshops" in Marseille, a collective workplace for artists. The collective will be invited to major events, including the Paris Biennale, Beaubourg (1982). Large galleries in Amsterdam, Nice, and Marseille regularly display his work for fifteen years. He initially published the negative side of art in 2003 at L'Harmattan. From 2007 to 2010, Guy Ibanez performed public performances based on sound poetry and his plastic dimension.
